Speaking

I talk about putting AI to work in ways that hold up: in operations, under the EU AI Act and in front of the people affected by it.

Since 2019 I have spoken at conferences and professional associations, joined and moderated panels, argued in public debates, taught guest lectures at universities, and trained boards and executive teams, mostly in financial services and the public sector. My audiences range from internal auditors and risk professionals to social-sector organisations and researchers in activity recognition.

What I speak about

AI governance & the EU AI Act

Governance that works day to day: AI inventories, roles, risk assessment, human oversight and literacy, built into the IT, risk and compliance processes organisations already run.

From prototype to production

Why so many AI pilots never scale, and what it takes to get from experiments to tools people use every day, including lessons from PwC's own AI transformation.

AI in financial services

Banking, funds, asset management and insurance: where AI adds value along the value chain, where data and skills hold it back, and what Luxembourg's adoption surveys show.

AI in the public sector

Citizen services, social services and high-risk AI at European institutions, where accountability, fairness and trust weigh more than speed.

AI and the future of work

A reality check between job-loss predictions and productivity promises: augmentation, implementation costs and how slowly real change tends to arrive.

Research to market

Back to my roots in sensing and human activity recognition: why good research struggles to become products, and what successes and failures teach.

Formats: keynotes and conference talks, panels and moderation, public debates, board and executive education, hands-on workshops and guest lectures. I present in English and German.
